Union Employee (CDL Class A Required)

Job Title:  Union Employee

Department:  Delivery/Warehouse

Position reports to:  Warehouse Manager

Primary purpose and function of position: Perform night picking and warehouse duties as directed. Drive a delivery vehicle to transport and/or delivery product as directed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate walkie riders safely and efficiently
• Stack and separate empty kegs and pallets
• Operate as an efficient and productive member on the night loading team
• Ability to build and load sideload, draught, bulk trucks as well as stage product
• Clean warehouse as directed
• Maintain warehouse product rotation standards
• Operate delivery vehicles and unload product from truck
• Rotate and deliver product
• Pickup pallets, cooperage or damaged product
• Make payment collection, record transaction and reconcile daily receipts
• Maintain DOT logbook
• Unload trailers and receive deliveries
• Stock product pick locations, including floor, static, and carton flow racking
• Build product orders
• Unload and/or strip delivery vehicles
• Transport product and supplies between supplier and warehouse locations
• Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
• Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED certificate required
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Must have the ability to read, write and follow instructions
• Must be fork-lift certified and have ability to safely operate job related equipment
• Ability to safely operate job related equipment
• Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Project a friendly, courteous and professional image
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work on a team with minimal supervision
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: repetitively handling cases of beer, reaching above head height, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling
• Ability to frequently life, carry, push or pull package product weighing 50 plus pounds and draught product weighing 165 plus pounds
• Regular and reliable attendance required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and some holidays as needed
• Ability to pass a required pre-employment, background, and drug screening
• Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned
