Summary:

The Gifted Education Related Service Coordinator is responsible for providing, managing, and delivering specially designed instructional programs. The coordinator is responsible for contracting with outside providers to ensure that each learner successfully receives all supports and services in their Gifted Individual Education Plan (GIEP). They will work closely with other teachers and school staff to ensure that the school’s gifted education program is successful and operates in compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires collaboration across various divisions, departments, and external partners to support specialized instructional strategies and services.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Create and send referrals for evaluations/reevaluations and related services as required in the GIEP
  • Create new related service contacts using department template, make initial contact and gather information to send to Supervisor for approval. Upon receiving the finalized contract, maintain the company certificate of insurance and w-9. 
  • Renew all related service contracts for new school year
  • Maintain related service providers’  updated clearances
  • Maintain student records, including but not limited to requesting records for newly enrolled students, uploading documents, and tracking compliance dates
  • Review related service invoices
  • Assist with resolving related service provider payment issues
  • Stop related services for withdrawn/graduated students
  • Maintain and track cost per pupil expenditures, invoices, purchase orders

Qualifications

Education, Certification (if applicable), Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of computer systems and organization tools.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws governing gifted education, including GIEP processes.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience in data analysis, program evaluation, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations and stakeholders.

  • Physical: Normal vision, speech, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, grasping, keyboarding, and filing ability
  • Mental: Positive Attitude, analyzing, problem-solving, decision making, and writing.
  • Environmental: Online, office, blended school environment
  • This position requires both in-office and virtual collaboration. Occasional travel may be required for professional development, conferences, and collaboration with external partners.

All PA Leadership Charter School  applicants and employees will need to provide Pennsylvania Clearances: Act 34, 114, and 151 upon employment, as well as every five years from the date the previous clearance was obtained.
