Position Title: Finance Assistant (Part-time)
Reports to: Sr. Director of Finance
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Part-time
Job Summary:
The Alumni Association is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This entry level role is perfect for current university students pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. This individual will gain hands on experience in day-to-day financial operations while building a strong foundation for their career. Previous experience preferred, though not required.
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily financial duties related to accounts receivable
- Process Accounts Payable
- Prepare deposits for bank bag
- Assist staff with chapter financial needs
- Prepare monthly reports for chapter accounts
- Assist with reconciling events
- Assist with a timely month close by keeping track of and reconciling assigned accounts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Organizational Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to all constituents inquiring about Alumni Association programs and events
- Work on personal and departmental goals and objectives as defined by management
- Support the Alumni Association by having sufficient knowledge of programs and services offered, and professionally represent the organization in a positive manner
Job Competencies and Experience
Education:
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited college or university; interest in pursuing a career in finance, accounting, or business preferred.
Experience:
Previous internship or office experience and basic accounting knowledge required.
