Summary 

 

The Data & Pricing Analyst supports the Government Solutions Team with detailed analysis of various forms of data related to market opportunities, pricing management, and supply chain cost.  By utilizing available tools and databases you will manage price files for local, regional and national agreements, ensuring profitability and price competitiveness.  You will create clear and impactful charts and graphs to relay complex trends in a concise manner.  You should possess the ability to utilize macros within Microsoft XLS or other available tools to automate reports.  This position reports directly to the National Business Development Manager – Government.

 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Conduct pricing analysis comparing CES vs competitors in the marketplace
  • Perform updates to price files for various agreements
  • Maintain and update electronic catalogs
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for government proposals.
  • Review profitability of various government agreements and update pricing as needed
  • Analyze competitive bid packages and rebate agreements in a timely manner
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Office
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 4 years work experience in a related field preferred

 

Competency 

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Data manipulation: Proficiency in commonly used methods to query and manipulate data from databases
  • Data visualization: Creating clear and impactful charts and graphs to communicate data insights
  • Statistics: Understanding statistical concepts to analyze data accurately and identify patterns
  • Data warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing systems to manage large datasets effectively
  • Programming languages: Knowledge of available languages for data analysis, manipulation, automation, etc (Python, R, SQL, XLS Macros)
  • Data Storytelling: Presenting complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences
  • Catalog Management: Building and maintaining electronic product catalogs, preferably within the Industrial or Electrical Distribution industry.
  • Pricing Strategy: Manage price files for multi-location customers providing consistent pricing experience

Physical Demands
