💡 As a Floating Teacher, you will:
✨ Support classroom teachers, lead teachers, and directors in creating fun, developmentally appropriate activities that spark curiosity and growth.
🧸 Help maintain a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where every child can learn and thrive.
🧹 Assist with daily classroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring materials are put away and spaces are ready for discovery.
🗣 Communicate positively with parents and caregivers—while respecting confidentiality and following our YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
📋 Help keep records accurate and up-to-date, including attendance, meal counts, and incident reports.

✅ Qualifications:
• Must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in, or have completed, high school or an equivalent program.
• Must meet Department of Early Childhood Education and Care requirements for childcare staff.

🧸 Requirements:
• Understanding of child development and ability to apply this knowledge in daily activities.
• Review and follow center policies, including Health Care Policy, Parent Handbook, and Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Policy.
• Maintain current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Complete all required trainings, certifications, and orientation as outlined by the MA Department of Early Education and Care and the YMCA of the North Shore Training Plan.

💪 Work Environment & Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to react quickly to the unpredictable actions of children and ensure their safety at all times.
