Description

Position Summary: The Director of Residential Services – Campagna is responsible for the day-to-day operation of residential programs at Campagna Academy.  

 

 

Performance Standards:

  • Ensure the care, welfare, safety and security of all clients assigned to your department.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff through daily supervision, individual supervisory sessions, annual performance appraisals, on-going training, and regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Directly supervise Residential Staff Managers.
  • Ensure the department’s compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
  • Prepare annual departmental budgets and purchase items within the limits of the approved budget.
  • Perform all risk management functions as defined by the agency risk management plan.
  • Perform all quality improvement functions as required by accrediting bodies and state licensing regulations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs for staff in your area of responsibility.
  • Be directly responsible for the implementation of a Residential program, based upon the mission of Gibault, Inc.
  • Manage the functioning of the Unit Treatment Teams operating within their area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that service delivery is performed according to the organization’s mission, policies and procedures, and service philosophy.
  • Provide case consultation and ensure case reviews are conducted at least quarterly.
  • Support and enhance staff’s ability to perform their jobs by teaching and modeling technical knowledge and skills, work management and communication skills, and conflict management.
  • Successful completion of Cornell University’s Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training.
  • Serve as a trainer for Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training.
  • Take regular inventory of own emotional well-being.  Develop and adhere to a self-care plan to promote wellness and prevent burnout.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Specified bachelor’s degree in social work or human services or related field is required and 5 or more years of experience in a related field or a Specified master’s degree in social work or human services or related field and 2 or more years of experience in a related field.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Consent to and pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
