ReDiscover has been known for over 50 years as a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for the people we serve. WHAT WE DO
The Peer Services program is an expansion program dedicated to outreaching and connecting clients to services for mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Our Peer Services provide support to clients using personal experiences to build rapport and engage in services that are offered.
At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Support supervisors and staff with program needs.
- Coordinate needs with intra-agency program leadership.
- Managing and assessing data from assessments performed on clients for reporting.
- Outreach and engage clients in the community and educate the community on the services provided at ReDiscover.
- Support and assist clients in getting into treatment.
- Supervise Peer Supervisors.
- Completes administrative and other duties as assigned.
- Support the strategic goals and mission/vision/values of ReDiscover when interacting with clients, co-workers and community stakeholders.
- Contributes to the mission of ReDiscover by adjusting work priorities and duties as needed to meet unforeseen demands.
- Exhibit independent discretion and judgment with respect to matters of significance on a daily basis.
