About KC-ATC Program
The Kansas City Assessment and Triage Center (KC-ATC) is a comprehensive crisis and stabilization program serving the needs of Kansas City’s at risk population. Employing a multidisciplinary staff, KC-ATC is a resource for Law Enforcement, Hospital Emergency Departments and Community Mental Health programs in the greater Kansas City area.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate client’s mental health condition based on the review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation, and diagnostics.Â
- Collect information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for the client(s) being served.
Requirements of the PositionÂ
- Availability to work Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am (40 hours).
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
- Candidates with advanced Missouri licensure such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is preferred.
- The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.).
- Knowledge of the community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSu
