About the Urgent Care Program
The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) is the first program of it's kind in the Kansas City area that provides the community immediate, same-day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, the BHUCC team provides care to clients every day of the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the client's and community's needs.

What You'll Do
- Greet members, vendors, couriers, job applicants and other visitors in a consistent, professional and friendly manner adhering to proper security protocol and logging activity.
- Answer phone calls in a timely and welcoming manner and courteously directs the call to the appropriate personnel or program.
- Abide by all HIPPA laws and maintains confidentiality for all clients and medical records.
- Ensure the headquarters lobby is constantly staffed during agreed business hours and maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Manage schedules accurately for new appointments, check ins, and follow ups.
- Verify insurance, personal information and account balances. Collects fees when required.
- Ensure that new charts are ready for use and packets are prepared for programs.
- Accurately enter information into the EMR (i.e.: financial information, assessment forms, billing, etc.).

Requirements of the Position:
- Availability to work a PRN (as needed) schedule; all new hires are required to attend a one-week ReDiscover orientation as part of the onboarding process.
- High school diploma or GED
- One to Two years of progressively responsible experience.
- Previous experience handling large volume of incoming calls as a receptionist preferred.
- Must possess strong customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.
