The Opportunity

Position Summary

 

SupplyLogic is seeking an experienced and strategic Category Manager – Print to lead the management of our print procurement and production category. This role is responsible for driving performance through effective sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, cost reduction initiatives, and deep industry knowledge. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, capable of delivering best-in-class print solutions that meet business needs while optimizing spend.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute category strategies for print services and materials (e.g., marketing collateral, packaging, signage, direct mail, publications, etc.)
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the print industry to inform procurement decisions
  • Source, evaluate, and manage a network of print suppliers to ensure quality, innovation, and value
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance reviews
  • Foster strategic partnerships to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities without compromising quality or timelines
  • Analyze spend data and print demand to uncover inefficiencies and drive value
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to consolidate print volumes and leverage scale
  • Provide subject matter expertise in print production, materials, and supply chain optimization
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of service

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in print category management, procurement, or production
  • In-depth knowledge of the print industry, including digital, offset, packaging, and specialty print
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, cost savings, and vendor performance management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing platforms, spend analysis tools)
