Qualifications for the Senior Director of Social Work position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field of study, and significant, relevant experience in nonprofit management; or comparable combination of education and relevant experience; or
- Master’s degree in social, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field of study, and relevant experience in nonprofit social services management (preferred qualifications). AND
- Program management and administration skills and experience.
- Team and staff leadership skills, with the ability to build diverse, inclusive, effective, and engaged teams.
- Ability to collaborate and build strategic partnerships.
- Connection and commitment to the mission, with the ability to promote staff engagement and team cohesion around the mission and values of Preble Street.
Please note that this is a full-time position based in Bangor, Maine, with onsite work and participation in the on-call coverage rotation required. This position will involve monthly travel to Portland for select Management and Senior Leadership meetings.
Compensation and Benefits
The Senior Director of Social Work is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position offering a competitive pay of $90,000 annually and robust benefits, including:
- 160 hours vacation time, 96 hours sick time, 32 hours personal time (accrued), 12 Paid Holidays
- Health insurance w/ 100% employer-paid option; Dental insurance w/ 100% employer-paid option; Vision insurance; Employer-paid Life, STD, and LTD insurance and voluntary, supplemental options.
