- A deep commitment to Preble Street’s social justice mission
- 12+ years of experience in Human Resources leadership and management, with at least five years of experience leading an HR function with multiple team members
- Experience as a member of an Executive Leadership Team, including leading a talent strategy that supports the organizational strategy, and extensive experience coaching leaders
- Relevant education, with a graduate degree preferred
- Social services/nonprofit experience preferred
- Extensive understanding and application of Maine labor laws
- Experience with labor relations and engagement with a union preferred
The VPHR works onsite in Portland, Maine during regular business hours, with some schedule flexibility and hybrid schedule options available. Travel to other locations in Bangor and Lewiston is needed on at least a quarterly basis.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, salaried position with a salary of $150,000 annualized, with generous paid time off, insurance, and a retirement plan. Benefits include:
● 4 weeks/160 hours (accrued) vacation time, 12 days/96 hours (accrued) sick time, 2 days/16 hours personal time, 12 paid holidays
● Health insurance with 100% employer-paid option; dental insurance with 100% employer-paid option; vision insurance; employer-paid life and disability insurance
● 403(b) retirement plan with employer match
