Social Media & Event Coordinator – Summer Internship
Job Summary:
Palmetto Moon is looking for a creative and organized individual to join our team as a Social Media & Event Coordinator Intern for the summer. This is a dynamic role that will give you hands-on experience in the marketing field while allowing you to develop your skills in both social media and event coordination. You will be responsible for managing social media tasks, as well as supporting events, in-house photoshoots and the marketing department as needed. The ideal candidate has previous experience in Social Media/Event Planning or is actively pursuing education in a related field.
Social Media Support:
- Assist with daily social media tasks, including content creation, editing, copywriting, and trend research
- Curate and manage Pinterest boards with relevant and visually appealing content
- Monitor and engage with followers and related accounts to increase brand awareness
- Support in-house photoshoots by coordinating product transfers and preparing items (e.g., steaming garments, organizing props)
Event Coordination:
- Coordinate and manage shipment of supplies and materials to stores ahead of events
- Request and track discount codes and special offers related to store events
- Write detailed briefs for signage, promotional materials, and advertising assets
- Provide occasional on-site support for local store events or grand openings
