The Kimbell Art Museum offers paid, part-time Library internship to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, who are interested in learning about museum practices and developing professional skills.
The Kimbell internship program is designed to mentor future museum professionals from diverse cultural, economic, social, and educational backgrounds. Interns are assigned to departments based on their academic background, professional skills, interests, and goals. Under the supervision of designated staff members, interns work both independently and collaboratively to gain comprehensive experience through immersive projects.
Library interns participate at a professional level in ongoing library activities, building a comprehensive understanding of practices, terms, and trends specific to museum librarianship. In collaboration with library staff, interns will develop and implement a term project that both supports the library’s activities and aligns with their professional and educational goals.
