Position Overview:

Private bankers manage money and oversee financial activities for clients.  They provide banking services including personal cash management, secured and unsecured credit. They are responsible for identifying potential new clients and building a lasting relationship to ultimately manage their wealth. Provides complete customer services on new and existing accounts. Additionally, the Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the CEO and other bank executives, performing a variety of secretarial duties and skilled tasks that may include preparing reports and lending documents, conducting research and collecting data.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate commercial, consumer and other loan requests through established processes.
  • Perform a variety of portfolio management and compliance functions.
  • Provide input to maintain current risk ratings on customers.
  • Coordinate with related departments to review customer and prospect situations and determine appropriate products and services to offer.
  • Establish relationships with high-net-worth clients to monitor financial situation and identify client needs resulting in new sales opportunities.
  • May assist with the development of new business by participating in client and/or prospect calls and presentations.
  • Evaluate clients' financial situations and recommend and negotiate for policy exceptions on behalf of clients, if applicable.
  • Facilitate the interaction between the customer and bankers (officers, loan operations, analysts, etc.) to ensure the customer receives a rapid response, an error-free process, consistent communication, and a professional experience that is both friendly and positive.
  • Prepare credit packages and work closely with middle office and credit administration to facilitate appropriate credit approval.
  • Adhere to FDIC guidelines regarding retail and other transactions.
  • Successfully perform teller functions, cash handling, security, online banking, wire transfers, and open new accounts.
  • Assist with lending opportunities by requesting client documents. Acts as a liaison for clients and operations associates.
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Provides high-level administrative support to the CEO and other bank executives.
  • Builds rapport with the executive's customers and visitors to support lending activities.
  • Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments.
  • Collects requested data and information from various sources including email and other correspondence, meeting minutes and records, and other documents; prepares summaries of findings and/or other related written correspondence as requested.
  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Strictly adhere to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines and security measures
  • Adheres to bank policies and procedures to minimize losses.
  • Other responsibilities at the discretion of management.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • 2+ years banking related experience required
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Must have complete knowledge of all financial products and services to cross-sell to customers. 
  • Excel/Word Processing
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment
  • Capable of reliable attendance
  • Aptitude for attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors
  • Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
