Position Summary
General Purpose
Therapists are responsible for the assessment, education, and treatment of clients experiencing substance use and possible mental health disorders as well as program support.Â

Essential Functions of the Job
- Work closely with direct supervisor to ensure coverage of all services, including co-facilitation of group curriculum and therapy sessions as assigned and coverage for colleagues' PTO time
- Assist with on-site crisis interventionÂ
- When approved and needed, serve as the primary therapist
- Complete intakes, develop a treatment plan for clients including explaining assessment results, identifying client needs in written plan, and formulating immediate and long-term goals. Utilize Motivational Interviewing skills when working with clients.Â
- Provide direct and coordinated services to chemically dependent women and their children, utilizing internal program modalities and external linkages when required
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions
- Provide SUD/MH education to clients
- Attend and/or organize monthly team meetings for assigned clients
- Assure authorization and continued re-authorization for caseload as may be necessary through insurance and other resources.
- Assist with the coordination of services that support the treatment program and/or clients.Â
- Perform all required record keeping and paperwork related to treatment and work at Meta House.Â
- After 6 months of employment: On- call duties after hours and weekends, duration one week, several times per year
- If in Outpatient Program:
- Manage color of the day urinalysis testing. Responsibilities will include creating schedule for UA testing, maintaining color of the day voicemail, completing UAs, documenting incomplete UAS and notifying the clinical team, ordering all UA testing supplies, entering new admissions into the lab’s website and communication with the lab as needed.
- Stock Rewards Room.
- Help coordinate services for any outpatient grants including, when needed, coordinating client’s enrollment in a grant.
