Job Description Summary

Supervise and perform functions pertaining to shipping/receiving and delivery of supplies and equipment as needed, for the daily operation of the property.  Supervise the organization and distribution of supplies and equipment to departments and food outlets thought the casino properties. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Prepares schedules for Receiving Clerks.
  • Acts as a Receiving Clerk, in their absence.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the daily receiving operations.
  • Prepares and reviews performance evaluation, attendance records, and disciplinary actions for the Receiving Clerks.
  • Receives merchandise and verifies accuracy of orders.
  • Responsible for delivery of merchandise and equipment.
  • Responsible for shipment of supplies, equipment, and office records.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized receiving and warehouse area.
  • Assists with securing and controlling the distribution of “controlled items” (Slot Paper, Playing cards, ect.) and obtains approved signatures upon distribution of such materials.
  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicates with the Purchasing departments for follow-ups on any issues with a purchase order. (substitutions, returns, damaged, items shortages, etc.)

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises Receiving Clerks.

 

Access to Sensitive Areas and Information (ACCRS & SRC)

(Receiving Storage) - Unlimited access, except where noted, to all restricted areas.

All deliveries, as necessary, to provide proper storage, security and control.

Signatory Ability

All deliveries as well as items that are within the parameters and limitations of the position.

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or G.E.D.  1 to 2 years of related job experience.  Computer knowledge required.  Valid drivers license with clean DMV record.  Must be able to communicate in English. Supervisory experience/ knowledge preferred. Good organization skills required.

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate but escalates in the casino environments. Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift/carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 60 lbs. on an intermittent basis. Requires sufficient dexterity to use receiving and office equipment.
