POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Responsible for leading/training volunteers, job trainees, students and GRID staff in PV installations while adhering to the following: OSHA Safety compliance, NEC/CEC code compliance, GRID standards, QA/QC App completion, and Salesforce entry of all required fields and notes.

Timely completion of Service Calls, QC Tasks, and Other tasks including all required documentation

Coordination and/or execution of Building Permit Inspections, and permit running duties, including all required documentation as needed, completing safety compliance field inspections

 

Other Responsibilities:

 

  • Equipment purchasing as needed for installations as needed
  • Equipment unloading and loading daily
  • Cleaning and general maintenance of truck, trailer, and work area in coordination with Solar Installation Assistant - Warehouse
  • Participate in GRID’s equity, inclusion, and diversity work
  • Train and/or mentor other staff, volunteers, students, and/or job trainees as assigned in construction related activities
  • Assisting with paperwork for all departments as needed, answering homeowner and volunteer questions, talking to media
  • Other duties as assigned

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must be able to carry/lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor weather condition
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders to install solar panels
  • Communication skills (ability to work with volunteers and clients, ability to represent GRID Alternatives positively)
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to embrace change, go the extra mile
  • Willingness to work on evenings and weekends
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

 

Travel and Work Schedule

 

This position requires occasional work on weekends as well as travel to job sites throughout the Central Valley counties. GRID Alternatives provides travel reimbursement. Overnight stays for up to one week may be required.

 

Compensation:

This is a full-time position, compensation commensurate with experience.

 

Benefits:
