SUMMARY:

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Executive & Leadership Services will serve as a strategic talent advisor and lead the full-cycle recruitment of critical executive and leadership-level talent. You will navigate tribal government, hospitality and gaming environments, championing an exceptional candidate experience. This role requires a proactive, sophisticated approach to attracting top-tier leaders who will thrive within our regulated and community-focused culture, with a strong preference for candidates bringing prior experience within government or tribal entities.  In addition, this position is responsible for delivering our Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members. THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE .

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards. This entails consistency performing our service expectations of: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized and Valued.
  • Lead, own & successfully run the entire recruiting process as defined by the Organization.
  • Acquires independent judgment and discretion to do initial screening and reject applicants from Human Resources and/or department management.
  • Lead comprehensive full-cycle recruitment strategies for pivotal executive and leadership roles across all facets of our Tribal Gaming Organization as required with a focus on gaming operations, hospitality, and corporate functions, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Review applications and prescreen applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, while providing information concerning the organization, the job opportunities available, and employee benefits.
  • Maintain all job openings updated and posted throughout the Organizations employee information boards.
  • Cultivate robust partnerships with C-suite executives and senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor on executive search best practices, talent market intelligence, and succession planning to proactively meet future leadership needs.
  • Develop and execute advanced sourcing techniques to identify and attract highly sought-after executive talent, leveraging extensive professional networks and industry insights, with a strong emphasis on candidates who possess prior experience within governmental structures or tribal entities.
  • Initiate contact with potentially qualified candidates for specialty job openings.
  • Assist with Training, New Hire Orientation, Employee Events, and Recognition Programs.
  • Screen and refer candidates for additional interviews with Management in the organization.
  • Point of contact to new hires and assisting with any New Hire/Onboarding process.
  • Track the progress of candidates through the onboarding/hiring process until clearance is received from Gaming Commission.
  • Assist HR Management by developing and maintaining contacts, to include schools, alumni groups, and other public agencies to identify sources of qualified candidates.
  • Lead the Organization’s participation for job fairs and in the setup of displays for job fairs.
  • Make public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs promoting the organization, its job opportunities, and employee benefits.
  • Placing all job advertisements on social media platforms and Organizations career site.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Act as liaison with employment agencies, college and industry associations.
  • Staying current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
  • Assist with translation of documents as needed.
  • Review and edit job descriptions.
  • Assist and participate in the compilation of wage surveys and compensation analysis.
  • Generate and analyze turnover report for all Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians and its Enterprises.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Able to make difficult decision in a fair and honest manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to the Tribal organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Executive Recruitment/Government experience preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of directly related experience in a Human Resources staffing position/capacity, preferred.
  • Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in recruitment totaling five (5) years; may substitute for the required education and experience.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass periodic random drug screens. 
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

They may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or push, pull up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required use repetitive movements to complete tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions, and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.

  • Multiple locations.
  • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
  • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
  • Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
  • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
  • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
