BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Director of Development this individual oversees the operational facets of the fundraising and marketing program. The Development Coordinator supports fundraising growth through management of the fundraising database, oversight of special events, and the administrative components of the Development Department. The Coordinator assists with the preparation and tracking of fundraising campaigns, proposals, Agency reporting, and marketing efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage all aspects of the donor database including accurate input, updating donor information, and generating necessary reports for the Development and Finance Departments.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate management of gift records and donor acknowledgment (within 2 business days of receipt), while maintaining data integrity across all records. Create lists and run database queries to provide information and reporting for electronic and printed appeals, mailings, events, and other projects. Provide information to be used in evaluation of Development and Agency activities.
  3. Manage administrative and clerical aspects of the Development Department, including but not limited to meeting coordination, minutes, filing, data entry, correspondence, and mailings; assist with production of electronic and printed materials.
  4. Coordinate special events associated with Agency fundraising goals, including logistical planning, implementation, maintaining relationships with vendors and adhering to budgetary requirements. Evaluate and make recommendations for improvement, expansion, and new events.
  5. Work with the Director of Development in managing special event sponsorship, attendance, and recognition.
  6. Solicit in-kind support for events and Agency operations.
  7. Support community members, such as volunteers or affinity groups, planning special events and initiatives.
  8. Oversee volunteer activities for the Agency.
  9. Assist with preparation and implementation of Agency-wide events (annual meeting, program-focused events).
  10. Maintain social media accounts, email campaigns, web content, as well as electronic and print Agency publications/collateral materials.
  11. Provide direct administrative support to the Director of Development and Director of Major Gifts as needed.
  12. Seek out and willingly accept additional duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years non-profit development, administrative and database experience required. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills as well as a high level of computer literacy. Prior experience managing a donor database is strongly preferred, and familiarity with email marketing platforms and social media management is a plus. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Ohio driver’s license with two (2) or less moving violations.
