Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Lead Trainer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in onboarding new hires, reinforcing critical skills, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You’ll work across all shifts to ensure our team members have the training, tools, and support they need to succeed.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging, effective training across multiple shifts and locations.

  • Conduct plant tours, introductions, and new hire safety orientations.

  • Teach safety practices, PPE requirements, first aid/eye wash station use, and accident/incident reporting.

  • Promote cleanliness, organization, and the 5S methodology.

  • Train team members on D365 processes, myPrinsco, and other company systems.

  • Lead safety committee meetings, manage priority lists, and maintain documentation.

  • Become certified as a forklift trainer and lead forklift/telehandler training and inspections.

  • Provide training on manufacturing processes, including molding, pipe quality, packaging, traceability, cutting/trimming, and defect prevention.

  • Oversee yard/material handling safety, loading patterns, dock safety, and equipment operation.

  • Train on equipment safety, including lockout/tagout, scissor lift, fall protection, machine guarding, and crane/hoist operation.

  • Support leadership training, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required (or in process) with at least six months of manufacturing or production experience, preferably in a leadership role.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish at locations where required is a huge plus.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.

  • Valid state driver’s license.

  • Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve certification.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently, 50 lbs for 1/3 of the day, and 75 lbs occasionally.

  • Comfortable standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, or reaching for extended periods.

  • Adequate vision (distance, peripheral, depth perception, and color differentiation).

  • Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures, outdoor conditions, and loud noise levels.
