JOB SUMMARY
This position will serve as the Grants and Reporting Manager for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction (SUPHR). This new position will identify new funding opportunities, initiate and manage grant applications, and ensure accurate reporting to grantors. This position may be asked to take the lead in writing grant applications, and support program staff in developing grant applications. This position will report to the SUPHR Division Director.
SUPHR has nine programs: Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Surveillance and Outreach (NAS), Overdose Death Review (OD Stat), Bereavement Support, Communications, Environmental Services, Harm Reduction, Data Analysis & Epidemiology, Medical, and Community Engagement. The mission of SUPHR is to prevent drug-related deaths and the potential harms associated with drug use. We advance programs and policies that promote the dignity, autonomy, and health of people who use drugs.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Grant Research and Identification
- Research and maintain an updated list of grant funding opportunities that are in alignment with SUPHR’s mission
- Attend all relevant grant information sessions and distribute notes to SUPHR staff
- Work with SUPHR leadership to cultivate relationships with local funders and keep them informed of SUPHR work
- Grant Application and Proposal Development
- Coordinate all aspects of grant applications including setting timelines for writing, assigning grant sections to relevant program staff, and gathering all ancillary materials and forms for submission
- Writing of grant proposal sections including but not limited to needs assessments, organizational backgrounds, and budget justifications
- Editing and revising writing by SUPHR staff to create a cohesive grant narrative
- Ensure that all proposal narratives, budgets, and attachments adhere to specific grant guidelines and requirements
- Budgeting and Financial Management
- Assist program staff and operations team in the creation of grant budgets and budget justifications
- Collaborate with operations team to monitor grant spending and ensure alignment with approved budgets and grant regulations
- Reporting & funder relations
- Maintain grant reporting schedule and request relevant narrative and data from SUPHR staff
- Edit and revise submissions from SUPHR program staff and contracted agencies to create cohesive reports
- Coordinate any required funder site visits
- Serve as primary point of contact for grants as assigned
- Attend required grant meetings
- Coordinate the submission of other required SUPHR reports including, but not limited to, the County Health Report, Language Access Report, and Public Health Accreditation
- Other duties as assigned.
