Human Resources Summer Intern

About Atlanta Mission:
Atlanta Mission is a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry dedicated to transforming the lives of those experiencing homelessness. We serve men, women, and children through holistic services—providing shelter, recovery programs, job readiness, and spiritual support.

Position Summary:
Atlanta Mission is seeking a mission-minded Summer HR Intern to support our Human Resources team. Based at the Mission Support Center, this intern will provide front desk support while gaining valuable exposure to various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the front desk receptionist: answer phones, greet guests, and provide hospitality to visitors at the Mission Support Center.

• Assist with hiring and onboarding processes, including assembling new hire materials and preparing workspaces.

• Support new hire orientation by helping organize schedules, materials, and welcome gifts.

• Track inventory and help ensure the HR team is stocked with needed supplies and resources.

• Provide administrative support for HR-led events and initiatives across the organization.

• Participate in planning and executing staff engagement activities and company-wide events.

• Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by HR team members.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; enjoys interacting with people.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• A heart for service and alignment with Atlanta Mission’s Christ-centered values.
