The Campus Administrator at The Shepherd’s Inn, a 450-bed men's shelter, plays a vital role in supporting transformational programming and operations at Atlanta Mission’s largest campus. This individual provides key administrative support to the Campus Director and ensures smooth execution of daily, weekly, and monthly activities across a dynamic environment serving men in crisis.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the campus calendar including life skills classes, volunteer events, special events, and group visits
  • Provide administrative support to the Campus Director, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and credit card reconciliation via Concur
  • Maintain and send campus-wide communication, including weekly schedules and announcements, and post updates on the organizational intranet
  • Assist with personal calendar management for the Campus Director, keeping them on track for meetings, interviews, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate internal team meetings and take/distribute meeting notes
  • Support the execution of after-hours and weekend events as needed
  • Track and update client engagement, class attendance, and level progression within the client database
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, volunteers, or external partners with professionalism and warmth
  • Monitor and manage office supply inventory and petty cash
  • Uphold safety, confidentiality, and boundary-setting in a fast-paced, all-male campus setting, often dealing with client crises
  • Manage money including fees collected from clients, invoicing of purchases, and logging checks received in the mail from donations
  • Coordinate campus-wide events and support the management of volunteers and community-run activities
  • Assist in organization-wide planning and logistics for larger events such as holiday celebrations or city-wide campaigns

Position Requirements:

  • Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office and scheduling platforms
  • Experience managing calendars, internal communications, and administrative systems
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries in a high-energy male shelter environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • Tech savvy and resourceful; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in fast-paced, human services or ministry settings preferred
  • Crisis intervention training or certification – preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR (required for driving company vehicles)
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability required

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting, and/or walking)
  • Must have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs occasionally
  • Must be able to distinguish or determine smell
  • Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator and computer printer
  • Must be able to communicate accurate information
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs occasionally
  • Must have peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
