The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley (BGCTNV) inspires and enables young people to reach their full potential. We are seeking a Fundraising Database Specialist to manage and optimize our donor database, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights to drive fundraising success.

Position Summary

The Fundraising Database Specialist is responsible for maintaining BGCTNV’s fundraising database, analyzing donor data, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decisions. This role works closely with the development team and reports to the Senior Vice President of Resource Development. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Knoxville, TN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the donor database ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate database procedures and policies.
  • Process and track donations, pledges, recurring gifts, and other contributions.
  • Generate reports, queries, and extracts to support fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship.
  • Assist in segmentation of donor lists for targeted appeals, events, and communications.
  • Analyze data insights and make recommendations to the SVP of Resource Development and CEO.
  • Collaborate with the development team to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance reporting.
  • Maintain donor acknowledgment and recognition processes.
  • Provide database training and support to staff.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, data security standards, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience managing fundraising databases in a nonprofit environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM and fundraising software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable reports.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify solutions and improve processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must work on-site in Knoxville, TN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with database integrations, data migration, or automation tools.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising processes, donor stewardship, and gift processing.
