POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is charged with lead generation of current and potential referral sources to grow the census of Rocky Mountain Health Care Services (RMHCS) and its PACE program. In this highly visible and critical position that drives growth, the Business Development Specialist is responsible for creating awareness of the PACE program internally and externally through the creation and deployment of visual marketing materials in the community, providing in-service learning opportunities and other development/service sales activities that drive market penetration.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and delivers marketing presentations to potential referral sources.
  • Generates leads while remaining knowledgeable and supportive of the RMHCS enrollment and admissions process.
  • Builds and maintains consistent, close relations and partnerships with existing referral sources.
  • Develops and maintains a referral tracking system, mailing list, and marketing files such as CRM system.
  • In concert with the Director of Marketing & Community Engagement, develops the annual marketing plan and all appropriate marketing materials, including, but not limited to, newsletters, press releases and advertising.
  • Identifies and executes marketing and networking activities such as health fairs, community events, community education and other business development strategies.
  • Plans and coordinates open houses and marketing events to increase exposure for RMHCS.
  • Maintains inventory of marketing materials as needed for fairs, external events, open houses for RMHCS.
  • Assists or leads with graphic design and video production requests as needed.
  • Works independently to represent the organization in public and community settings.
  • Responds to public inquiries representing RMHCS including press releases, press conferences, and other community-based entities.
  • Promotes marketing plan in achievement of referral and conversion goals.
  • Develops and executes a sales strategy for the assigned territory.
  • Participates in the development of PACE related education materials.
  • Develops and reports on goal attainment and performance on a regular basis.
  • Attends networking meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Complete 5-8 contacts (education) within the community per day, or 25-40 contacts per week.
  • Generation of 10 qualified leads a month
  • Development and execution of annual sales/marketing plan.
  • Generation of 10 qualified leads a month
  • Maintenance and update weekly goal attainment report
  • Achieve regular assessment of competition and development of cross referral relationships as appropriate
  • Identify 3 new potential referral sources a quarter.
  • Adhere to PACE all regulations
  • Meet deadlines as assigned
  • Adhere to budgetary requirements  
  • Respond to all public and other community requests within 24 hours and escalate as needed or required
  • Ensure all marketing materials are error free and meet regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or relevant field.
  • 3 years’ experience in business development, preferably in a health care environment.
  • Proven ability to meet performance objectives required.
  • Proficient to expert in Adobe Creative Cloud products.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to create visual marketing materials.
