Overview

We’re currently seeking a temporary Associate Creative Specialist to join our Creative Studio team on a hybrid schedule. The Creative Studio was established to support the growing demand for ancillary spaces in commercial office projects. In this role, the Associate Creative Specialist will assist internal sales teams as well as clients, including architects, designers, and end users with selecting ancillary furniture, accessories, and artwork.

Associate Creative Specialist Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with ancillary packages for projects that require alternates due to price point or lead time requirement
  • Support the Creative Studio team to devise furniture solutions to address a look + feel package with no defined specifications
  • Organize sample library & manage sample requests for clients & A+D
  • Maintain Media Valet & Creative Library on a quarterly basis
  • Assist with developing PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets with product information including but not limited to pricing, discount, lead times and warranties
  • Assist the Creative Specialist team with quote requests for alternate specifications
  • Assist internal sales teams with their day-to-day requests for alternate products
  • Assist with developing accessories packages that can be added to projects to elevate the space
  • Foster partnerships with key manufacturer partners and develop a strong understanding of their aesthetics, manufacturing strengths, weaknesses, price points, and lead times
  • Expedite escalated requests with professionalism anda  sense of urgency
  • Assist CS and Sr. CS with Steelcase ancillary specifications, PMRs, CDAs, etc as needed
  • Manage NYC showroom upkeep

 

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or interior design
  • At least one year of design experience within a design firm, furniture retailer or dealership
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and AutoCAD is preferred
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Attention to detail & strong organizational skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
