Grace Chaska Student Worship Associate

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chaska Students Worship Associate will serve to create God-honoring, engaging, and high-quality worship environments for the Chaska NXT services. This will be done by exhibiting the Grace Church culture and “style” of worship while recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing volunteers to facilitate these services. The Chaska Students Worship Associate will serve in the following responsibilities:

• Create and lead (vocally and instrumentally) a worship program that can be executed at Chaska NXT services.
• Carry Grace church’s worship values, style, quality and processes into Student worship experiences.
• Identify, recruit, develop, and shepherd students on the music and production teams within Chaska NXT High School and Chaska NXT Junior High.
• Plan and execute weekly worship team rehearsals, ensuring that each music and production team member has ample ability to rehearse prior to services.
• Manage and oversee the use of Planning Center Online for Chaska NXT by regularly updating processes, arrangements, charts, resources and team schedules with a high level of communication and professionalism.
• Provide worship alongside other NXT worship associates at strategic seasonal and non-seasonal NXT events, camps, retreats and conferences.
• Collaborate with Eden Prairie NXT worship and student associates to create God-honoring, engaging, and high-quality worship environments at both Chaska and EP campuses.
• Have a working knowledge of all media, production equipment, and procedures within Chaska NXT spaces and possess a desire toward continued growth in production systems.
• Coordinate with NXT Creative Manager on maintenance and replacement of instruments, technology, and band gear within Chaska NXT spaces.
• Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

• Educational requirements: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience required: 1-2 years.
• Trained and proficient in vocal and instrumental music with the ability to read and write chord charts
• Gifted worship leader, sensitive to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit with 2+ years’ experience in worship leadership.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of volunteer singers, instrumentalists and technicians.
• Working knowledge and experience in AVL technology, Planning Center Online, Pro Presenter, Playback, and Ableton Live.
• Ability to self-motivate, build teams, innovate, and work independently as well as with a team.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Displays a servant heart, positive demeanor, as well as a humble and approachable spirit.
• Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
• Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity while representing Grace Church and its beliefs/values.
• Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
