Job Summary:  The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. They work with other departments to verify and record transactions and resolve account discrepancies.

 

Pay Range:  $18.00/hour - $28.00/hour.  This pay range is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of compensation for this role across the country.  The final offer for this position will be determined by factors including geographic location, experience, skills and education.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. 
  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
  • Communicate with divisions regarding unapplied payments and payment discrepancies.
  • Offset Credit Memos and applications requests weekly.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associate’s Degree in accounting, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience with accounts receivable or general accounting
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards System preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Superior communication abilities both written and verbal.
