Pay Rate: $30.29-$49.88 hourly

Job Description:

The Ultrasound Technologist works under the guidance of the physician and Practice Manager to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, assist physicians with invasive ultrasound procedures, updates and maintains patient records, prepares examinations for interpretation, and assists with maintaining supplies.

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations upon the order of a physician.
• Analyzes ultrasound examinations for quality control purposes.
• Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the physician.
• Operates ultrasound equipment in a safe and appropriate fashion.
• Transports, moves, and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion.
• Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of sonography.
• Practices and promotes positive interpersonal and intradepartmental relations.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA approved ultrasound program or otherwise meets the requirements to become registered with the ARDMS.
• Holds certificate of completed ARDMS recognized course required.
• Participation in FMC University classes or FMC University graduate preferred.
• One year experience under the supervision of a qualified physician preferred.

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
