Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for a Software Developer 3 position at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

Salary: $60/hr - $67/hr
Location:  Los Alamos, NM (Hybrid)
Citizenship: US citizenship Required
Work Schedule: 5/8
Clearance: Ability to acquire a Q clearance Needed

Impact

As a member of the Software Systems Development (SSD) Team within the PSS-1 group, you will contribute to the creation and evolution of the new F.O.R.G.E. web application. Your work will directly support the Advanced Weapons Production (ALDWP) mission by delivering reliable, modern software solutions that streamline operations and enhance decision-making across the laboratory.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain the F.O.R.G.E. web application using the latest tools and technologies.
  • Work within the SCRUM framework alongside cross-functional teams to plan, develop, test, and deliver software increments.
  • Implement secure and scalable APIs.
  • Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with system administrators to ensure successful deployment in the Microsoft IIS web hosting environment.
  • Apply best practices in development, testing, and deployment using Azure DevOps pipelines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in C# and .NET development.
  • Hands-on experience with Blazor web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework and LINQ.
  • Experience working with SignalR for real-time web functionality.
  • Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) and SAML authentication.
  • Proven ability to develop and secure RESTful APIs.
  • Competency in unit testing and version control.
  • Active contributor in a SCRUM/Agile development environment.

Desired Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience supporting government or scientific software projects.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
