Teach private or semi-private lessons to interested upper grade band students using a Band method book, leading students to learn to play their individual lesson.
Teach weekly lunch recess or afterschool group band rehearsals at both East and West campus to all enrolled Band students, choosing concert music and rehearsing it.
Teach music classes to 5^th and 6^th grade students using bucket drums and ukuleles.
Prepare students to perform as a group and occasional solo at various school performances such as the Christmas Program, Band Chapel and Spring Program.
Coordinate and prepare for bands to perform at ACSI Band Festival.
Coordinate and prepare students for performance opportunities for 6^th graders with the secondary band program: Band Night at the Football Game and 6^th – 12^th Grade Band performance at the CHS Fine Arts Night Concert
Travel between three campuses to teach band students at both Christian Elementary School East, West and South.
Other duties as assigned which could include student supervision, attendance at staff meetings, professional growth trainings, etc.

Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Possess or will possess within the first year of CUSSD employment an ACSI temporary teacher certification.
Retain state issued teacher credentials, or
All teachers must obtain a valid teaching credential within five years of being employed at CUSSD (some subjects do not apply)
