JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Security Director will help ensure the safety, security, and well-being of everyone that attends services and events at the Chase Oaks Legacy Campus. This role will report to the Legacy Campus Connections and Young Adults Pastor.  The Security Director’s primary responsibility is the Legacy Campus, in addition to a few all-campus support responsibilities given that the other campuses are volunteer-led.  This is a part-time, 25-hours-per-week position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

LEGACY CAMPUS

 

  • Lead volunteer security team at the Legacy Campus. Includes onboarding, scheduling, training, appreciation, and ensuring team members have a fulfilling volunteer experience
  • Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures that will be referred to in the event of an emergency, including the Emergency Management Plan
  • Manage budgets and expenses for campus security and safety
  • Manage scheduling and communication with outside security services and local police department

 

ALL CHURCH

 

  • Coordinate training opportunities for both staff and team members of key ministry areas
  • Oversee the upkeep of all equipment (medical, radio, video) at all campuses
  • Maintain CPR certifications and FCC frequency licensing at all campuses
  • Offer advice and assistance to all campuses as needed

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

There are currently no staff supervisory responsibilities for the Security Director.

  • Meet monthly with supervisor for discussion, evaluation and sharing of vision and needs of security teams
  • Be committed to doing ministry as a team and promoting unity
  • Be an active participant in church related activities
  • Pursue an active, growing relationship with Christ

JOB PROFILE:

 

SKILLS / ABILITIES

 

  • Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to compose culturally relevant, effective and accurate communication and deal with non-routine matters, such as special projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, possessing the ability to interface with adults, students, kids, team members, and staff
  • Ability to exercise sound and expert independent judgment within general policy guidelines
  • Ability to recognize emergency situations and direct prompt and effective corrective measures
  • Ability to demonstrate emotional stability during periods of tension and stress while carrying out assigned duties

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, and email
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, Data Entry skill & experience
  • Familiarity with Databases

 

 

DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

 

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification a plus
  • Experience in and/or detailed knowledge of large group worship, convention, meetings, and exhibition gatherings is preferred
