SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Director of Student Ministries will work as part of the Discipleship Team to give vision and direction for Calvary Students. They will also serve as the lead implementer of Student Ministry at the Peace Haven Campus.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Sets vision and direction for Calvary’s Student Ministry efforts
  2. Leads the implementation of Student Ministry at Peace Haven Campus
  3. Ensures that vision, direction, programs, curriculum, and other Student Ministry elements fit within the larger discipleship strategy of Calvary
  4. Provides leadership to Student Ministry staff at the Peace Haven Campus 
  5. Actively works through church programs and relational efforts to teach students, develop leaders, and equip parents toward becoming disciple-making disciples.
  6. Collaborates with other NextGen team members through intentional handoffs, parent equipping, and ministry support
  7. Provides care for families in church as needed and/or as designated by the Member Care team
  8. Fights to protect the unity of the Student Ministry team, Discipleship team, staff, and church
  9. Other responsibilities as assigned

Primary Requirements

  1. An affirmed call and commitment to relational ministry with students, their leaders, and their parents through the local church
  2. An active member of Calvary or willing to take next steps in this process
  3. At least 3-5 years of related experience in local church ministry
  4. An understanding of church organization and staff relationships
  5. Ability to work well with other team members through humility, honesty, and hardwork
  6. Willingness to collaborate with Calvary Day school faculty and staff for the benefit of both
  7. Faithfully walking with the Lord as an individual and family (if applicable)
  8. Willingness to do whatever it takes to fulfill the Mission of God for the glory of God
