Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to join our team! This position provides direct care to nursing home residents, in accordance with restorative nursing policies and procedures. May help with resident care while performing restorative nursing tasks.
Â
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents doing progressive range of motion exercises and progressive mobility, to include but not be limited to bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
- Assist residents in progressive eating, during breakfast and lunch.Â
- Assists residents in progressive bathing and dressing.
- Assists and teaches residents in progressive grooming.
- Takes and records vital signs of residents according to facility schedule and policies, and during restorative activities.
- Documents and/or reports information regarding the residents’ progress and medical condition to charge nurses and supervisor. This may include participation on committees as needed.
- Works closely with the physical therapy department.
- Documents all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record
- Assures personal and staff compliance to all state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
- Assures personal and staff compliance to residents’ rights.
- Provides care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.
