Good Transitions Independent Living Trainer

SUMMARY: 

The Good Transitions Independent Living Trainer is responsible for providing case management, skills development and/or supportive services to foster youth, or those who recently aged out of foster care, ages 14 to 23, so each can assume personal responsibility for their daily care.  All services shall be offered within the geographic area or facility most convenient to meet the needs of each individual youth. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education and/or Experience: 

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field with a minimum of five years of experience in providing direct social services to clients; transcript is required. Master’s degree in Social Work preferred. Experience working with 14-23 year old population and teaching experience preferred. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

Possess a privately owned vehicle and valid license or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moment’s notice that may not be accessible by public transportation.

Screenings:

A criminal background check and driving record review will be conducted. Submission of a fingerprint card is required.
