Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Convert medication orders into typed prescription labels by utilizing the computer equipment provided. This includes collecting data and producing patient care information.Â
- Maintenance of records including drug inventory.
- Stock shelves.Â
- Compute drug costs and charges.
- Assist in updating/providing pharmacy billing information.
- Collect patient payments, including required co-payments.
- Order medication and maintain Parr levels.Â
- Participate in team building and conflict resolution exercises. Â Â Â Â Â
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
- Demonstration of an excellent record of positive peer/client relationships which include superb customer skills.
- Ability to maintain records, do drug inventory, stock shelves.
- Ability to compute drug costs and patient charges.Â
- Provision of assistance with pharmacy billing, both with patients and the Billing Department.Â
- Must have EXCELLENT knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare and provide professional correspondence as well as write and edit report text.
- Requires sufficient human relations skills to work productively and cooperatively with other work teams, exercise patience when dealing with internal and external customers and convey technical concepts.Â
- Must be able to handle a large volume of work in what can be (on occasion) considered a very stressful environment. Â
Education, Licenses, Certification and Experience
- High School Diploma / GED (required)
- WA State Pharmacy Assistant license (required)
- One (1) year Pharmacy Assistant experience (preferred)
A valid Washington State driver's license is required and must be eligible for the Colville Tribes vehicle insurance and maintained throughout employment. Â
Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.
A background check will be required with clearance maintained throughout employment and no felony convictions.   Â
Tribal member, Indian and Veteran preference will apply.Â
Working Conditions
LRCHC has ADA compliant facilities. The position requires the ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.  May require lifting of 15 – 50 lbs.Â
