Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers is dedicated to delivering responsive, high-quality healthcare services to members of the Colville Confederated Tribe and residents of the surrounding rural communities. We seek a qualified individual who can offer a personalized approach to support those facing mental health challenges. Our facility is situated in a picturesque location by the Columbia River, surrounded by mountains, forests, and lakes. Our clinics emphasize the importance of care and compassion in guiding individuals through difficult times and providing them with essential resources.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Requirements

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate mental health, emotional and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop/Implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group counseling to address any diverse mental health challenges.
  • Ability to consider internal and external resources to develop client treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of local, state, Indian Health Service (IHS) and federal regulations and licensing requirements pertaining to behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of private and public managed care reimbursement requirements.
  • Knowledge and commitment to adhere to the professional code of ethics for the respective profession. 
  • Ensure culturally sensitive and inclusive care for diverse populations.  
  • Become a part of the community by providing outreach activities as directed. 

Education, Licenses, Certification and Experience

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education: 
    Master’s Degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field. 

  • Licensure: 

  • Current and active license in the State of Washington as one of the following: 

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) 

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) 
    – OR – 

  • Associate-level license in the State of Washington as one of the following, working toward full licensure under approved clinical supervision in compliance with WAC 246-809: 

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LICSWA) 

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) 

  • Experience: 

  • For fully licensed professionals (LICSW or LMHC): Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate, supervised clinical experience providing behavioral health or therapeutic services. 

  • For associate-level clinicians (LICSWA or LMHCA): Relevant clinical internship and/or post-graduate experience in mental health, social services, or community-based settings. Supervision can be provided within or program. 

  • Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience serving diverse populations, including individuals with complex behavioral health needs, co-occurring substance use disorders, or trauma histories. 

  • Familiarity with Washington State laws and regulations related to mental health, mandated reporting, and ethical practice (RCW 18.225 and WAC 246-809). 

  • Competence in using electronic health records (EHR) and managing clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid/Medicare standards. 

Other Requirements: 

  • Must obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI). Credentialing with Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurers may be required depending on the position. 

 

A valid Washington State driver's license is required, along with verification of current insurance (travel may be required).  

Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.

A background check will be required with clearance maintained throughout employment.  

CCT, Tribal and Veteran preference will apply. 

Working Conditions

LRCHC has ADA compliant facilities.  The position requires the ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.   May require lifting of 15 – 50 lbs.
