MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or related work.
- Experience in a healthcare or tribal government setting preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the Tribe’s insurance requirements.
- CPA, CGFM, or related certification preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of budget preparation, financial analysis, and fiscal management practices.
- Requires understanding of healthcare funding streams, including Indian Health Service (IHS) Purchased/Referred Care regulations.
- Requires skill in preparing clear, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports.
- Requires proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Requires knowledge of applicable federal, tribal, and state regulations.
- Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply financial policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple budgets and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with program staff and leadership.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
- Work is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- May require occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances.  If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
