MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requires incumbent to be Fluent First Language Speaker of one of the languages of the Colville Confederated Tribes (nxaʔámxčin, tito·qatimt, nsəlxcin, & palušpam).
- May require a valid drivers’ license and eligibility for tribal insurance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires Fluent First Language Speaker of one of the languages of the Colville Confederated Tribes (nxaʔámxčin, tito·qatimt, nsəlxcin, & palušpam).
- Requires knowledgeable in the unique customs, life ways, rituals, practices, ceremonies of one of the tribes or bands of the CCT.
- Requires the ability to collaborate with various departments, partners, or individual members of the CCT.
- Requires knowledge of the organizational structure of the CCT and policies and procedures manual of the CCT.
- Requires good communication skills and previous experience with verbal, written, interviewing, and public speaking presentation.
- Requires the ability to mentor, guide, and teach new learners of the language.
- Requires to be able to speak proficiently in one of the languages of the CCT.
- Requires the ability to independently perform all duties of the position.
- Requires the ability to mentor, guide and teach new learners of the language.
- Requires ability to read, write and speak proficiently one of the languages.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
