MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:Â
- Requires a High school Diploma or equivalent
- Requires 2 years’ of healthcare experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the position
- Requires certification as a Credentialing Specialist or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires, attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and an innate ability to organize and complete highly complex tasks.
- Requires an awareness of and sensitivity to the Native American culture and cultural practices.
- Requires knowledge standard health service administration, and provider credentialing practices.
- Requires a strong administrative skill profile, initiative, flexibility, professionalism, creative problem solving, good judgment and time management abilities.
- Requires strong written skills. Requires a proficiency in computer skills, especially using, Word, Excel and customized databases including Electronic Health Records.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills. Must be reliable and consistent and work in a professional manner. Must be process oriented.
- Requires the ability to work in and adapt to a multi-cultural, community based organization.
- Requires an understanding of the Colville Confederated Tribes and Compliance policies and processes.
- Requires the ability to relate well with persons from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural groups.
- Requires the ability to collaborate with internal and external, agencies, and providers.
- Requires the ability to manage time effectively in order to meet obligations for meetings, reports, and information.
- Requires the ability to be self-directed and a self-starter.
- Requires the ability to collaborate within a team to develop credentialing policies and procedures.
- Requires the ability to use a variety of methods and ideas to solve problems whilst also being open to suggestions from others in order to find solutions.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances.  If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
