The Bullis Social Studies program provides students with opportunities to develop in-depth understanding of their communities and the world, past and present, to become responsible and empathetic global citizens. Each course focuses on developing skills and competencies - content, critical thinking, research, writing and presentation skills - that students should both be prepared to engage in during the course and demonstrate significant growth in or mastery of at the end of the course. Students build foundational skills and competencies in 9th grade and continue to develop and expand their content and skills each successive year. Guided by the school’s new Strategic Plan, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to participate in an academic review process with other curricular leaders across the school and ensure that diverse perspectives, histories, and experiences are incorporated into the curriculum
