Marketing Intern (10 hours/week)

Position Title: Marketing Intern 

Supervisory Relationship: Reports to Marketing Manager 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  

PART-TIME: 10 hours a week; only 1-2 per week need to be during 9-5 EST; open-ended

The Location: 

This position will be based in our Philadelphia office at 325 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA. The role and the entire Exude HC team is currently fully remote. Any changes to this will be shared with advance notice. Preference is for individuals located along the I-95 corridor in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. 

 

The Opportunity: 

This opportunity is for a teammate that has skills in general marketing concepts, creating engaging content, presentations, video editing and producing marketing copy. Ideally this professional has a basic understanding in human resources, DEIB, and training & development. Working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team, in a rapidly growing practice, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who gets excited about promoting our brand through graphic creation, copy, products, and translating written words into stories and visuals connected to our brand. To be successful in this role, experience with creating marketing campaigns, planning, product awareness, and skills with presentation creation and enhancement will be essential.

The Role: 

This role is helping our team activate and amplify our content marketing strategy. The intern will work with a smart, authentic team consisting of consultants, operations, marketing, sales, and other professionals to drive our growth strategy and have a blast doing it along the way. 

Strong candidates are attentive listeners and thoughtful builders with a focus on excellent storytelling. They have an engaging communication style with a clever ability to write and think outside the box. 

This role is part-time and remote. The hours can be worked on pre-determined schedule during work hours. Some of this work is planned and scheduled while other is ad hoc and on demand. 

 

Duties: 

As an intern at Exude, your responsibilities include planning and executing engaging social media campaigns across multiple platforms, monitoring performance, and contributing to special event planning and implementation. You will be tasked with tracking and documenting media placements and maintaining a comprehensive record of our media coverage. Your contribution to researching and updating media lists will help strengthen our media relations. Working closely with the marketing team, you will support various marketing initiatives, contributing to the promotion of the Exude brand. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, public relations, social media management, and market research within a company committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

 

Key Functions: 

• Support marketing campaign planning and execution. 

• Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, blogs, and other marketing collateral. 

• Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels. 

• Editing and video production for both podcast, vlogs and webinars. 

• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions. 

• Assist in the management of website SEO. 

• Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives. 

 

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Applied understanding of basic marketing principles 

• Content creation skills 

• Comfortable with Microsoft office products including PowerPoint 

• Excellent writing and editing skills in English 

• Time-management and organization skills 

 

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) 

• Creative problem-solving skills 

• Self-starter with ability to work independently 

• Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment 

• Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices 

• Video Editing experience (iMovie or other technologies) 

• Basic photography, image editing, and graphic design skills (Canva)
