The Advancement department at Rockhurst University has an opening for an Advancement Office Coordinator position. Primary responsibilities include accurate and timely financial gift deposits and donor record updates in adherence with established policies, procedures, and standards for confidential and time sensitive data. The position also provides administrative and event support to ensure efficient operation of the office and successful execution of donor and alumni engagement events. Other functions of this position include administrative support to the Vice President (such as calendar management and budget monitoring), coordinating office operations, manage supplies, and process financial documentation and purchase orders. The position also will need to support internal and external events by assisting with room reservations, catering, and on-site logistics, including guest check-in and vendor coordination. Another important element of this position is assisting with volunteer management and committee support, including scheduling meetings and preparing materials. They will also need to perform other duties, consistent with the incumbent skills and qualifications as required by the University in support of the department.
This position requires that the incumbent be an effective time manager and have strong decision-making skills. The position is responsible for maintenance of data in Slate, and that data must be maintained in an accurate and timely fashion. It is also critical to be comfortable communicating with staff, faculty, and possibly students.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 2-3 years of experience required
- Strong organizational, analytical, planning, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals
- Effective project management skills: detail and deadline oriented.
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
- Excellent time management skills required with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
