JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing & Communications Services Senior Director is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and delivering integrated marketing and communications services and solutions for PRR’s clients across sectors, including transportation, environment, healthcare, and private brands. This role combines client leadership, team development, and business growth, and plans, executes, and evaluates integrated marketing and communication strategies, including all aspects of marketing, public relations, media relations, influencer marketing, social and digital media platforms, internal communications, facilitation and training, crisis communications, issues management, brand reputation, thought leadership, and other services. 

The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading marketing, branding, and communications programs for public and private clients, understanding how to connect audience insights, creative storytelling, and data-driven strategies. This position will partner and collaborate heavily with the CEO, CGO, CCO and Division VPs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead PRR’s marketing and communications services line, setting the vision and standards for excellence in strategy, creativity, and results.
  • Build, evolve, and deliver PRR’s suite of marketing and communications offerings to meet emerging client needs in digital media platforms, social, digital, and paid media strategies, and public education, public relations, media relations, influencer marketing, facilitation and training, internal communications, crisis communications, issues management, brand reputation, and thought leadership.
  • Partner with the CCO and Division VPs to serve as a senior advisor and thought leader for clients and internal teams on communications, strategy, messaging, and brand positioning.
  • Build, direct, manage, and mentor the marketing and communications team, and coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and consultants. 
  • Work with research and insights team to conduct market research, analyze campaign performance data, and leverage insights to refine strategies to craft compelling narratives and campaigns that connect with audiences and achieve behavioral or perception change.
  • Manage partnership and sponsorship relations for our public- and private-sector clients, cultivating existing relationships and growing new relationships.
  • Manage special events planning, including budget adherence.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of strategists, writers, media professionals, influencer marketing experts, facilitators, social digital specialists, media buyers, and more.
  • Partner with the new business and growth team to grow PRR’s marketing and communications portfolio through proactive business development, partnerships, and proposal support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and industry leaders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive marketing and communications roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with special events planning.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate strategic insights.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media, content creation, crisis and issues management, brand reputation, media relations, thought leadership, facilitation, internal communications, and marketing analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for crafting messages and building relationships.
  • Experience working with different communication tools and platforms, including CMS and social listening software.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external agencies.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, & PERKS

This role offers a salary range between $138,000-$199,000yr DOE. Primarily remote, with occasional travel to offices and client sites as needed.
