VGS also provides light manufacturing opportunities that provide work in packaging, assembly, machining and engraving. We are currently looking to expand our manufacturing line that will require a workforce focused on higher skill level, pace, complexity, and accountability. The Production Specialists will perform the following duties:

Perform complex assembly tasks using hand and power tools, requiring greater precision, sequencing, or technical understanding.

Interpret detailed work instructions or blueprints to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.

Inspect finished products using gauges, calipers, or other measurement tools with minimal supervision.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment or product issues during the production process to reduce downtime and ensure quality.

Meet or exceed production quotas while maintaining high accuracy and minimal rework, demonstrating superior speed and consistency.

Cross-train on multiple processes or workstations to provide flexibility and coverage as needed across the production floor.

Participate in continuous improvement activities, offering suggestions to improve productivity, workflow, and quality.

Follow and enforce safety protocols with an advanced understanding of safe work practices and proper use of PPE and tools.

Mentor or assist in training entry-level team members, reinforcing best practices and quality standards.

Responsible for performing quality checks on products to be shipped.

Communicates problems to supervisor if they should arise.

Maintain a clean work area. This includes putting things away at the end of the day and/or when the job is complete such as tools, parts, etc.

If working on a machine, make sure to properly shut down the machine.

Responsible for making sure the equipment is in proper working order and can be operated safely.

Regular attendance.

Responsible for following agency safety policies and maintaining a safe work.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, consumers, co-workers and supervisors.

Take regular inventory of material and notify the supervisor when it is necessary to order required materials.
