About Pictor Labs
Pictor Labs is the leading virtual staining company revolutionizing digital pathology adoption worldwide through cutting-edge AI-powered technology. Our solutions deliver diagnostic-quality results in minutes while preserving tissue samples for comprehensive analysis.
Our breakthrough DeepStainâ„¢ and ReStainâ„¢ technologies enable unlimited virtual staining from a single tissue sample, eliminating the bottlenecks and limitations of traditional chemical staining processes. This innovation supports the critical evolution from research applications to clinical deployment, empowering laboratories to advance their digital pathology capabilities while reducing chemical waste, improving operational efficiency, and expanding diagnostic possibilities.
Position Overview
You will own Pictor Labs' AI-powered virtual staining platform end-to-end, ensuring it is expertly packaged, seamlessly deployed, robustly secured and monitored, and efficiently scaled across cloud and regulated healthcare environments. You'll partner closely with globally distributed engineering teams (U.S., India, Israel) to ship reliable, enterprise-grade deployment solutions that customers love and IT departments trust. This role sits at the critical intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and real-world healthcare deployment, where your decisions directly impact patient care and clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deployment strategy across cloud, hybrid/on-premise scenarios, and third-party integrations for healthcare environments.
- Define platform surface area for tenants and administrators: SSO (SAML/OIDC), RBAC, audit logs, quota/usage management, observability, and admin tooling.
- Translate requirements into delivery: write comprehensive PRDs, manage product backlog, groom user stories, and coordinate day-to-day execution with distributed engineering squads.
- Ship compliant, secure releases: partner with Security, QA, and Regulatory teams to meet healthcare and regulated sector requirements (HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO/IEC security controls).
- Optimize deployment reliability: improve diagnostics, telemetry, and incident response; establish clear SLIs/SLOs and customer-facing SLAs.
- Enable customer success: collaborate with field sales to understand customer environments, remove deployment blockers, and reduce time-to-value.
- Drive cost optimization and scalability: right-size infrastructure investments and track unit economics for deployments.
- Coordinate across global engineering hubs: manage seamless collaboration and delivery with distributed engineering teams spanning Los Angeles HQ, Delhi, and Tel Aviv, ensuring timezone-friendly workflows and clear communication.
- Create comprehensive documentation: own admin guides, runbooks, and deployment playbooks for customers and internal teams.
