Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator III

Report To: Logistics Manager

Location: Irvine, CA

Department: LOGISTICS AND MATERIALS

         

          SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. This includes training warehouse team members, managing inventory and equipment, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that all orders are fulfilled on time. Analyzes work processes and recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product, or services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating warehouse team members: This includes assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and guidance.

  • Managing inventory: This includes monitoring stock levels, overseeing the receipt and storage of incoming goods, and ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Coordinating with other departments: This includes working with sales and customer service teams to ensure that orders are fulfilled and with purchasing and suppliers to manage inventory levels.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety procedures: This includes ensuring that all employees follow safety procedures and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, and maintaining accurate records of incidents.
  • Improve warehouse operations efficiency: This includes analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
  • Keeping up to date with industry eends and best practices: This includes staying informed about new technologies and techniques for warehouse management and implementing these as appropriate.
  • Leading by example: This includes being a role model for employees, leading by example, and providing guidance and mentoring for team members.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School graduate (or GED), with some college coursework preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills to work cohesively with many diverse groups.
  • Computer proficiency to include MS Office Suite, ERP, MRP Planning, and Great Plains
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment, documentation systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, quickly, and efficiently; ability to perform Problem analysis, with decision-making skills.
  • Familiar with proper packaging methods; capable of interpreting the best Packaging Method for available shipping materials.
  • Familiar with the most common material handling equipment and licensed as a forklift truck operator.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of part numbers and part number usage; understand applications for use.
  • Required to walk, sit, and stand; use hands to feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • Required to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills are desired traits.
  • Additional Tasks which occasionally become a requirement of Shipping or Receiving activities, as directed by Supervision.
