Material Handler II
Location: Irvine, CA HQ
Shift: Day
Salary: $20.52 an hour to $25.20 an hour
SUMMARY:
Ensures that all material in the warehouse is accounted for and stored in the appropriate areas. Performs manual and clerical duties related to receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for handling all stock items and housekeeping.
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests, documents transactions appropriately, and keeps records of storeroom inventory.
- Make sure to assign a proper location for each item and able to allocate them always.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Counts and weighs movement of materials from inventory to production.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
- Experience with labeling, barcoding and assembling stock
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
- May exercise decision-making of the materials handling operation.
- Handle expensive and fragile equipment or supplies, in addition to hazardous materials, such as chemicals (acetone), fiberglass, and carbon fiber.
- May be required to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, carry items up to 25lbs, work for longer hours and sometimes during public holidays and weekends.
