Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Deliver daily programming to a small group of campers indoor and outdoors.
•    Follow all policies and procedures while supervising assigned small group.
•    Follow all health, safety and regulatory compliance rules and requirements.
•    Communicate with campers and peers regularly.
•    Engage in outdoor activities and are frequently in the sun.
•    Attend and supervise small group on busses, fieldtrips and during special events.
•    Request supplies from the Summer Camp Coordinator. 
•    Attend all assigned training sessions.
•    Maintain positive relationships with campers and other camp staff.
•    Report all accidents and incidents and any suspected or known child abuse, neglect or endangerment to authorities. 
•    Observe hazards or developments in the natural environment and alert appropriate staff.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills 
•    Good organization and time management skills 
•    Good written and verbal communication skills 
•    Normal degree of computer proficiency using Microsoft Office 
•    Maintain annual training requirements as mandated
•    Obtain current CPR and First Aid certification, provided by Clayton Youth Enrichment
•    Actively engage in professional and personal development
•    Conduct oneself in a professional, ethical manner, in accordance with generally accepted community standards and organization’s employee policies
•    Ability to complete childcare background check process and preservice requirements
•    This position requires the ability to present yourself in a professional manner, communicate, and listen to others

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least six months of experience working with children or in a childcare setting preferred.
